Quality Control

100% Product Testing Procedure
At the start and finish of each batch the test machine must be checked to ensure the batch

has been 100% Electrically
Tested.
1) Electrical Continuity Test
Fit a lamp holder probe fully into the lamp holder and release probe, the probe must light

to show continuity. Remove probe before
carrying out subsequent tests.
2) Earth / Grounding Continuity Test
Between Earth terminals and metal parts apply the Earth probe to each lamp holder for

satisfactory Earth continuity.
3) High Voltage Tests
a) Test at 1500 volts for 3-6 seconds between Live and Neutral to Earth ( L N - E ).
b) Test at 1500 volts for 3-6 seconds between Live and Neutral ( L - N ).
Only when the product has passed all tests is it acceptable, any product failing any test

must be clearly identified as a
reject, which must be reworked and retested as a new product.
